PORTALES, N.M. – Eastern New Mexico Track & Field continue their preparations for the 2022 LSC Outdoor Track & Field Championship with a trip to West Texas A&M for the Jo Meaker Classic and Multi. The two-day event starts on Friday, Apr. 8, with Twilight Track Events starting at 5 pm (MST) and field events beginning at 10 am (MST).

In its last meet, the Masked Rider Open, ENMU Track & Field saw a handful of great performances. Both
Malethabo Seema and
Lethabo Seema posted a season best for the 800 meters. M. Seema posted a time of 2:16.44, which is the 3
rd fastest time in the LSC this season, and L. Seema crossed the line in 2:18.43, the 5
th fastest time in the conference this season. L. Seema also has a top-five time in the 1500 meters this season, with a 4:47.76 at the WT Spring break classic.
Kelvin Kipkemboi has posted the 4
th fastest time in the LSC for the 5000 meters, finishing with a time of 15:08.29 at the Masked Rider Open.
Other notable performances this season included:
Dorcas Kosgei and
Aminata Kenyawani in the 1500 (4:50.57 and 4:50.85, respectively) both ranking in the top 10 around the conference. Kosgei also enters the top ten for the 5000 meters, with a time of 18:18.93.
Paige Graham is 10
th for the Pole Vault, with a height of 3.06m (10' 0.5"), and
Tamia Smith is sixth for the Shot Put with a throw of 13.15m (43' 1.75").
