FROM THE SOURCE

"We were up and down today," said Head Track & Field Coach Jeff Kavalunas. " Our field events struggled, while we had some runners come back after a hard first event or rough prelim. Noticeably, L. Seema and M. Seema came back after struggling some in their qualifying round and did great in some very competitive finals," said Kavalunas. " After coming back off of some tough 10,000 meter races, Aminata (Kenyawani) and Kelvin (Kipkemboi) ran really tough in the 5,000 meter runs".

Eastern will have one last opportunity to qualify for the 2022 NCAA Division Track & Field national championships at the WT Last Chance Qualifier next weekend. The meet will take place at West Texas A&M on Sunday, May 15.
