PORTALES, N.M. – Eastern New Mexico track and field is set for a new week as they head to the Buffalo Invitational hosted by West Texas A&M Saturday. Before the Hounds travel to Canyon for the single day competition, please take a look at the Eight Lane Preview:

The student-athletes to make those marks include Savannah Romero, Maritza Alvarez, Mahault Lebrun, Tamia Smith, John Magee, Luis Holguin, Ethan Woodrome, Jude Murray, Malachi Torres, Jesse Woodruff, Colin Ulrich, and Josh Bachechi. The PR's were made at two different meets – the Ross Black Open and the Sooner Invitational.

The indoor All-American in the 200m was just 0.01 slower than his indoor record of 21.20. He also holds an NCAA qualifying time in the 400m with a 46.94 time.

3.) Climbing The Ladder: Freshman Mahault Lebrun improved her school record in the 400m hurdles with a 1:03.79 seventh place result in the 400m hurdles. She is 1.50 seconds away from earning an NCAA provisional qualifying time. The native of France is also .10 seconds away from holding a top-50 time among DII runners – a list that includes three competitors at LSC institutions.

4.) Look Ahead: The Greyhounds have 40 entries in the Buffalo Invitational. Some events to watch out for include the 100m dash where Jaliyah Denny, Malia Sanchez, and Kiara Cox will represent the Hounds on the women's side and Timothy Frederick, John Magee, and Josh Bachechi will run for the men's team. Lauren Griego will appear in the 3000m steeplechase and a trio for ENMU (Alex Williams, Devis Cheruiyot, and Jude Murray) will throw the javelin.

5.) Relay Time: Three groups will be participating in relay races for Eastern this weekend. The women's 4x400 will feature Meghan Rodriguez, Mahault Lebrun, Kaylyn De La Rosa, and Savannah Romero. The men's 4x400 consists of Devis Cheruiyot, Luis Holguin, Aiden Kepfer, and Ethan Woodrome. Lastly, the women's 4x100 will see Jaliyah Denny, Kiara Cox, Mahault Lebrun, and Ashlynn Evans.

6.) Setting Marks: Six different field athletes will compete in the shot put for ENMU. On the women's side, Eastern New Mexico will see Tamia Smith and Kennedy Ulmer.
