LUBBOCK, Texas – The final day of the 2023 Lone Star Conference outdoor track and field championships saw two Eastern New Mexico student-athletes earn podium finishes.

The junior proved to be a tough competitor in a group of top talent with a personal best throw of 13.71m (44' 11.75"). She took the lead for a brief moment before another competitor beat her mark by 5.50 inches.
Smith's teammate
