PORTALES, N.M. – Conrad Luczynski, a 7-2 center with international playing experience will don an Eastern New Mexico uniform this season.
"At 7'2, Conrad will be one of the tallest players in the country at any level. Along with his size he has the ability to pass, shoot, and finish with both hands around the rim," said head coach Brent Owen on the Illinois signee. "His potential is through the roof and he has a desire to be great. He chose ENMU because of our focus on development. I'm excited to get him in the gym and in the weight room to see how far he can take his game."
The incoming player comes to Portales after competing for LINK Prep in Missouri during the 2022-23 season.
In 2022, he represented Poland at the FIBA U18 European Championships. He helped the team earn a ninth-place finish after securing three-straight wins to complete the 16-team tournament. His two best games came against Greece (seven points, nine rebounds) and the Czech Republic (seven points, three blocks, and two steals).
He played prep basketball at Bartlett High School in Illinois where he took the squad to a 51-21 record over three seasons, including a 33-8 mark in district play. In 2022 he was named third team all-state and the Chicagoland Most Improved Player of the Year.
