Softball Unveils 2025 Schedule

The Greyhounds play 54 games, featuring 44 conference games, and 22 home contents

PORTALES, N.M. – Eastern New Mexico Softball has announced its 2025 schedule, the Greyhounds will play in 54 games overall, with 44 conference games. ENMU will play at Greyhounds Softball field 22 times, during 11 home conference doubleheaders. The new conference format features East and West Divisions, with every team playing a single-day doubleheader, while playing interdivision opponents twice (ENMU is in the West Division).

Eastern begins the season at the South-Central Region Crossover in Los Lunas, N.M. for the second consecutive season. ENMU face off against Simon Fraser as its season opener, then battle UCCS to close out opening day on Jan. 31. ENMU concludes the weekend against New Mexico Highlands (Feb. 1 and Feb. 2), and Adams State (Feb. 1). The Greyhounds conclude non-conference play at the WT Invitational (Feb. 7-Feb. 9), facing off against both Lincoln (Mo.) and MSU-Moorhead twice, and UCCS once.

Lone Star Conference play begins in Portales, as ENMU plays Texas A&M International (Feb. 14) and Texas A&M-Kingsville (Feb. 16) in a pair of conference doubleheaders. The Greyhounds make their first conference road trip to St. Edward's (Feb. 21) and St. Mary's (Feb. 23), then return to New Mexico to face Cameron (Feb. 28) and Oklahoma Christian on (Mar. 2) on home turf.

The Greyhounds head to the reigning National Champions to begin an eight-game road stretch, facing UT Tyler on Mar 7. ENMU then heads to Texas Woman's (Mar. 9), while starting West Division action on the road against Lubbock Christian (Mar. 14) and Angelo State (Mar. 16).

After the eight-game road stretch, the Greyhounds stay in New Mexico for its next five conference doubleheaders. First, Sul Ross State comes to Portales (Mar. 21), then UT Permian Basin (Mar. 23) follows shortly after. The Greyhounds conclude March against 2024 LSC Softball Champions West Texas A&M (Mar. 28), then face Midwestern State (Mar. 30). Following the eight-game home stretch, the Greyhounds battle in-state rival Western New Mexico in a home and home, Apr. 4 (away) and Apr. 6 (home).

To begin the final three weeks of the season, ENMU starts on the road at Midwestern State (Apr. 11) then travels to West Texas A&M (Apr. 13). The Greyhounds play their final home series against Angelo State (Apr. 16) and Lubbock Christian (Apr. 18). Eastern concludes the regular season on the road, playing UT Permian Basin (Apr. 25) and Sul Ross State (Apr. 27).

The LSC Tournament will take place on May 1-3, hosted by the top seed in the league in the regular season.
