PORTALES, N.M. – The indoor track and field season is slowly coming to an end as Eastern New Mexico gets set for the Don Kirby Invitational. Before meet day, please take a look at the 4x4 Preview:

1x4 – Ready for ABQ: ENMU will have 46 entries in the upcoming meet. Several Greyhounds will represent the team for the final regular season meet of the indoor campaign. The festivities begin Friday morning and will conclude around midday Saturday.

2x4 – New Time Timmy: Second-year ENMU sprinter,
Timothy Frederick is looking to qualify for the 2024 indoor track and field championships. He is expected to run in the 200m this weekend. He currently holds the 17th fastest time in DII and will need to run under 21.37s if results stay where they are at to be in consideration for the national meet. His 400m time puts him at 11th among sprinters around the country. He earned that time at the New Mexico Collegiate Classic after finishing in 47.67s.

3x4 – Newcomer Running: Another new sprinter is expected to compete this weekend.
Rosean Young is set for the 60m. His top 60m time in 2022 at junior college was 6.89s. He holds a 10.56s personal best in the 100m and 21.76s in the 200m. Young is the only Hound in the invitational while
Jude Murray,
Alex Williams, and
Malachi Torres are competing in the open 60m event.

4x4 – More to Watch: Jodian Stewart will compete in the long jump for the first time since the JD Martin Invitational hosted by the University of Oklahoma. Stewart had a jump of 5.42m (17-9.5) back in December 2023.
Celina Thomas will join her teammate in the long jump. Another event to watch for is the 60m on the women's side as ENMU will be represented by several student-athletes. They include Stewart, Helena Klutsey Carboo,
Riley Midgett,
Ambrosia Francis, and
Malia Sanchez.
