PORTALES, N.M. – After nearly a week between games, the Greyhounds return to the diamond to face Texas Woman's University in Denton, Texas. The series starts on Sunday, Apr. 7, with a doubleheader scheduled for 1 p.m. (MST) and 3 p.m. (MST). The getaway game is scheduled for 9:30 a.m. (MST), on Monday, Apr. 8. The series was moved forward due to the expected thunderstorms.

SCOUTING THE GREYHOUNDSÂ
The Greyhounds (19-16, 12-15) start the series following a pair of defeats against Midwestern State. The series started with a 4-2 defeat, as the Mustangs scored four runs in one inning and held on in the final frames. In the second game, Eastern scored five runs in the sixth inning to confirm a

Samantha Gutierrez had three RBIs. In the series finale, Midwestern State shutout the Greyhounds during a 3-0 win.

Alondra Vasquez leads the team in runs scored (34), along with RBIs (40). Patterson is just under the .400 batting average mark (.398), hitting lead-off for the Greyhounds with a team best five triples.
Marissa Rodriguez and
