3.) Top Seeds In – Two Greyhounds come into San Angelo as the top rated student-athlete in their respective event. Trinidad and Tobago native,
Timothy Frederick holds a 20.72s time in the 200m. He achieved the mark at the Willie Williams Classic in Arizona to begin his outdoor campaign. Frederick is one of four LSC competitors with a time under 21 seconds. Rio Rancho, N.M. native,
Kennedy Ulmer threw 44.30m at the John Jacobs Invitational in Norman, Okla. Her mark sits as the best in the conference by more than four meters. She is seeking a throw of 46 meters or greater to improve her chances to attend the NCAA DII outdoor championships later this month.
4.) Chasing History – Eastern New Mexico will look to place high this week at Angelo State. The women's program has placed fifth in three previous LSC championships, but never higher. The men's team's best place came in 2011 when they took fourth at the marquee outdoor event. Currently, both teams sit in eighth among league foes according to rankings provided by the United States Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA).
