Richardson, Texas – Eastern New Mexico's Sophia Valdez was selected to the All-Lone Star Conference honorable mention team as announced by the conference office on Wednesday evening at the LSC volleyball banquet.
 
Valdez led the team and finished eighth in the conference at 3.58 kills per set with 362 on the season. The Roswell native also finished fifth in the conference at 3.93 points per set with 397 total points. The junior recorded 32 block assists, 12 solo blocks, and seven service aces on the season for the Hounds.
 
Valdez earned LSC offensive player of the week back on August 23, after matching a career-high 23 kills against in-state foe Western New Mexico.
