PORTALES, N.M. – Eastern New Mexico Softball plays its second home doubleheader of the season on Sunday, February 16, as Texas A&M-Kingsville comes to Portales for a pair of games. The conference contests are slated to begin at 1 p.m. and 3 p.m. from Greyhound Softball Field.

SERIES INSIGHT
- Eastern New Mexico and Texas A&M-Kingsville continue its long standing LSC rivalry, playing each other for the 90th and 91st time in series history. The Javelinas have the upper hand in the all-time series, 68-21.
- Texas A&M-Kingsville leads the last 10 meetings, 8-2, but the last six meetings have been determined by four runs or less, with the Greyhounds winning a pair of games.
- In last season's three game series, the Greyhounds took the opening game in a shutout (3-0), then Texas A&M-Kingsville secured the series with a pair of home wins (6-4 and 9-5).
- The Greyhounds trail in the combined conference series record, winning 11 LSC games against the Javelinas. The last time Texas A&M-Kingsville came to Portales for a doubleheader, the Javelinas walked away with a 10-0 (5 Inn.) win and a 13-2 (6 Inn.) win.

SCOUTING THE GREYHOUNDS
- Eastern New Mexico enter Sunday's game with a 8-4 record, after splitting the conference opening doubleheader with Texas A&M International. The Greyhounds took the second game of the series, 11-1 (6 Inn.), hitting four home runs over the final three innings.
- The Greyhounds have put up a ton of runs in their first 12 games, scoring 105 runs from 126 hits. Collectively, Eastern have 93 RBIs and 15 home runs, while posting 29 doubles with five triples. Eastern New Mexico's pitching staff holds a 4.18 ERA, allowing 59 runs from 87 hits. ENMU has recorded 70 strikeouts, while holding batters to a .281 batting average.
- Aylene Lucero continued their strong start to the season into conference play, bumping up their average to .641 with 25 hits, scoring 22 runs, and bringing in 21 RBIs. Valeria Contreras (.500, 17 RBIs) has also played a big part in the lineup for the Greyhounds, while Christina Meneses and Alondra Vasquez both have over 10 hits this season.
- In the circle, Miranda Guillen leads the Greyhounds with three wins, while tossing two complete games. Jordan Rivera leads the Greyhounds with 31 strikeouts in 24.2 innings, holding opposing hitters to a .200 batting average.
SCOUTING THE JAVELINAS
- Texas A&M-Kingsville rolls into Portales with a 7-6 record, along with a 2-0 start to LSC play. In their opening conference series, TAMUK beat Western New Mexico, 14-3 (5 Inn.) and 13-9 in a doubleheader sweep.
- The Javelinas have produced 78 runs over the opening 13 games, with 119 hits, 12 home runs, and 68 RBIs. TAMUK has been good defensively also, holding a 4.85 ERA, allowing 71 runs, with 65 strikeouts.
- Lindsey Evans leads TAMUK with 22 hits and scoring 13 runs. Alexis Soliz is also an important bat in the Javelinas lineup, supplying 13 RBIs (joint best) with a .462 batting average. AJ Jasso has 13 RBIs for TAMUK, while supplying a team high two triples and three home runs.
- For the Javelinas pitching staff, Kristina Nash has a 3-2 record and a team low 3.00 ERA. Arianna Alaniz has pitched just 12 innings, but leads the program with 21 strikeouts, earning two wins.
