PORTALES, N.M. – Eastern New Mexico Softball wrap up the regular season on Sunday, April 27, against Sul Ross State in Alpine, Texas. The doubleheader is scheduled for 12 p.m. (MST) / 1 p.m. (CST) and 2 p.m. (MST) / 3 p.m. (CST).

SERIES INSIGHT
- Eastern is undefeated in the all-time series with the Lobos, as the Greyhounds hold a 3-0 advantage and 2-0 in conference play.
- The teams met earlier this season, as ENMU completed a two-game sweep of the doubleheader on March 21. The Greyhounds took the opening game, 9-2, while Eastern tossed a shutout during the second game (4-0).
- Sul Ross State joined the Lone Star Conference for the 2024-25 season and are in the reclassification period from DIII to DII.
- The teams first played in 2000, with the Greyhounds winning 20-0 in a game the was just three innings in Portales (2/25/00).
SCOUTING THE GREYHOUNDS

Eastern have provided 81 doubles, hitting 11 triples, and with 46 home runs. ENMU's pitching staff holds a 4.88 ERA, holding opposing hitters to a .283 batting average and striking out 269 batters.
- Aylene Lucero has put together a standout season, leading the Greyhounds in batting average (.414), runs (58), and hits (70). Alondra Vasquez supplies a .384 batting average, pacing the Greyhounds with 47 RBIs and 10 home runs. Â Valeria Contreras and Christina Meneses are both hitting above .350 this season, as Contreras has scored 49 runs with 57 hits, while Meneses leads the team in doubles with 17.
- Miranda Guillen and Marissa Rodriguez both tossed complete game shutouts in their last outings, as Guillen leads the Greyhounds with a 14-5 record. Â Guillen's 3.32 ERA is a team low, leading the team with 128 strikeouts. Rodriguez and Jordan Rivera both have six wins in the circle this season, with Rivera holding opponents to a .267.
SCOUTING THE LOBOS
- Sul Ross State will wrap up their first season in Division II on Sunday, holding a 11-40 overall standing, while being 8-34 in the LSC. The Lobos earned a split on Friday against Western New Mexico, coming back to win game two, 9-7.
- The Lobos have a .232 batting average this season, scoring 136 runs on 273 hits. Sul Ross State have picked up 34 doubles, with four triples, and seven home runs. Pitching wise, SRSU have a 9.54 ERA, giving up 408 runs over 294.1 innings.
- Leading the Sul Ross State bats, Elizabeth Clemente has a .287 batting average, while Ciera Avila leads the team with 38 hits this season. Tori Owens paces the squad for RBIs with 19, leading the team with eight doubles.
- Alyvia Quintana is the top pitcher for the Lobos, holding a 7.14 ERA with five wins to lead the team. Leanza Chambers is the other primary starter, making 21 appearances with 18 starts.
