PORTALES, N.M. – For the second time in just a few days, Eastern New Mexico Softball will take on Western New Mexico in a LSC doubleheader on Monday, April 7, at Greyhound Softball Field, with the games beginning at 2 p.m. and 4 p.m.
TUNE IN
	- The LSC doubleheader will be broadcast on FloCollege. SERIES INSIGHT
	- In the all-time series, Western New Mexico leads Eastern 33-27-1, but the Greyhounds have the lead in conference play, as the Greyhounds have a 20-3 conference standing against the Mustangs.
- The teams meet after playing in a doubleheader on Friday afternoon. Eastern came away with both games on the road, winning the first game 7-6, and coming from behind in the second game to win 12-10.
- At home against the Mustangs, Eastern has won eight of the nine conference games between the two teams. In the last three game series in Portales, the Greyhounds won a pair of games by run-rule (8-0 and 15-2), while WNMU took one game in extra innings (8-7).
- Since becoming conference opponents in 2017, ENMU have lost just three games against the Mustangs, with one loss occurring at Greyhound Softball Field. Eastern is 9-1 in their last 10 games at home against WNMU.
- The teams first played each other in a neutral site doubleheader contest in 1998, with WNMU taking the first meeting, 8-3, with the second game finishing in a 6-6 tie (2/6/1998).
SCOUTING THE GREYHOUNDS
	- Eastern New Mexico is positioned at 23-17 this season, holding a conference of 16-14. After the first half of West Division play, ENMU holds a 7-7 division record, while currently standing in 5th place in the LSC.
- Offensively, the Greyhounds are batting .307 on the season, scoring 240 runs, with 333 hits. For extra base hits, ENMU has 66 doubles, nine triples, and 35 home runs.  In the circle, Eastern hold a 4.38 ERA, posting 221 strikeouts, with 200 runs allowed, on 276 hits.
- Following a solid outing on Friday, Aylene Lucero leads the team with a .443 batting average, providing 58 hits and 34 RBIs, with 48 runs scored. Alondra Vasquez is hitting .383 this season, with a team high of 36 RBI and nine home runs. Christina Meneses is just behind with a .379 batting average, supplying 44 hits and 15 doubles.
- Miranda Guillen has put up some big numbers in the circle, leading the team with a 10-5 record and a 2.88 ERA with 112 strikeouts (8th most in a single season). The freshman has ten complete games in 17 starts, with opposing hitters batting .200 in 94.2 innings. Jordan Rivera (6-3, 4.44 ERA) and Marissa Rodriguez (5-7, 4.60 ERA) both make big contributions to the pitching staff, with 19 starts between the two.
SCOUTING THE MUSTANGS
	- Western New Mexico looks to avenge the two losses to the Greyhounds on Friday, holding a 12-27 record this season, and 9-21 in the LSC. WNMU are 6-8 record in West Division play, having faced each conference opponent twice this season.
- The Mustangs have a .283 batting average this season, finding 195 runs on 281 hits. Western New Mexico has 47 home runs this season, along with 44 doubles, and seven triples. Pitching wise, WNMU have a 7.69 ERA, giving up 308 runs over 241.1 innings.
- Lauryn Carbajal and Antonya Lucero pace the Mustangs for hitting, with Carbajal leading the team with a .410 batting average along with 41 hits, 10 doubles, and nine home runs. Lucero contributes a .370 batting average, scoring 25 runs, with 37 hits and 21 RBIs. Ciara Spencer is third on the team for hits with 29, while Abbi Markus' 20 RBIs are a big contribution.
- Labraida Tenorio leads the team with a 7.65 ERA, tossing a team high 68.2 IP. Haiven Schoolcraft is the other primary starter for the Mustangs, striking out 24 batters over 49.0 innings, with opposing hitters batting .327.
