Aylene Lucero Earns All-American Honors From D2CCA

ALISO VIEJO, Calif. – Aylene Lucero has been recognized by the Division II Conference Commissioners Association (D2CCA) as a Third Team All-American, announced by organization Thursday. Lucero becomes the first Greyhound to earn All-American honors from the D2CCA, and just the fourth Greyhound in program history to be named an All-American.

Earning all-region honors from the D2CCA and NFCA (National Fastpitch Coaches Association), Lucero led the Greyhounds from the lead-off spot, playing all 55 games and batting a team best .414 batting average, leading the team with 75 hits, 61 runs, and a .516 on-base percentage. The graduate student added 13 doubles, three triples, eight home runs, and 40 RBIs during their final season. Lucero finished just three hits and three runs away from single season records in ENMU history. Lucero joins Rachel Mohler (2001, NFCA Second Team All-American), Jennifer Harrer (2001, NFCA Third Team All-American), and Jennifer Doolittle (1998, NFCA Second Team All-American) to earn the national recognition.

The Greyhounds finished the 2025 season with a 30-25 record including 23-21 in Lone Star Conference play. Thirty wins for the Hounds is the most since 2006, while 23 conference victories are the most in program history. ENMU reached the LSC Tournament for the third consecutive season, reaching the tournament for just the fifth time in program history.
