GREENWOOD, Ind. – Grace Rofii and
Aylene Lucero of Eastern New Mexico Softball have both been recognized as Academic All-District® Honorees from the College Sports Communicators (CSC), on Tuesday morning. Lucero earns the accolade for the third time in their career, while Rofii garners the award for the second straight season.
Lucero wins the CSC honor for the third straight season, completing their final year of eligibility as a Graduate Student in 2025. The Albuquerque, N.M. native has been named to the LSC honor roll seven times, starting all 55 games for the Greyhounds. Lucero had a standout season for ENMU, earning All-Conference, All-Region, and All-American honors in the outfield. Lucero led the team with a .414 batting average, 75 hits, 61 runs, and a .516 on-base percentage.
Rofii earns CSC Academic All-District for the second consecutive season, graduating this past spring with a degree in communications. Playing every game for the Greyhounds, Rofii played 44 games at first base, and 11 games behind the plate, bating .283 with 41 hits on the season. Rofii has been named to the LSC Commissioner's Honor Roll three times in tenure at ENMU.
In order to be considered for the CSC Academic All-America program, a student-athlete must be a starter or important reserve, playing in 90% of the team's games or start in 66.6% of the team's games with at least a 3.50 cumulative grade point average (on a 4.0 scale) at his/her current institution.
