Samantha Parisi was named the Lone Star Conference freshman of the week as announced by the league office on Tuesday afternoon.

Parisi hit .714 (10-for-14) with a triple, double and four RBI over four conference road games. She scored four runs, walked once and did not strike out. Parisi had a pair of three-hit games in a doubleheader sweep of Midwestern State and had two-hit games against Lubbock Christian. She is now batting .384 on the season, has recorded a hit in five consecutive games, and has reached base safely in 12 straight games.
