PORTALES, N.M. - Eastern New Mexico softball gets on the road this weekend to play Sul Ross State in a doubleheader on Friday, March 6, at 1 and 3 p.m. MT in Alpine, Texas.
They Greyhounds are coming off both a win (9-6) and a loss (7-8) against UT Dallas this previous weekend in Texas.
ENMU holds a 7-8 overall record and 3-5 record in the Lone Star Conference action.
Christina Meneses leads the team with a .500 batting average, with 37 total bases, and four home runs in fifteen games.
Natalie Rodarte follows with a .425 batting average, nine RBIs, and 25 total bases.
Emily Marsh leads with 13 runs.
Miranda Guillen leads the hounds with 38.0 innings pitched and 35 strikeouts.
Marissa Rodriguez follows closely with 27.0 innings pitched and a 3-0 winning record.
Angelina Rubalcava has pitched 18.1 innings and earned 19 strikeouts as a freshman.
Sul Ross State is coming off a recent loss to Western New Mexico the past weekend. The Lobos hold a 2-13 overall record and a conference record of 0-8. Samantha Bustos leads the team with a .370 batting average. Addison Castilleja leads Sul Ross with 25.1 innings pitched, 21 strikeouts, and seven game appearances, three of which have been starts.
The Hounds and the Lobos have only met four times in program history, all in 2025 which resulted in four wins for ENMU.
