PORTALES, N.M. – Eastern New Mexico softball is home for a short weekend of games. The Greyhounds will face UT Dallas in a doubleheader on Sunday, April 19, starting at 1 p.m. MT at the Greyhound Softball Field.

The Hounds were most recently swept by both No. 12 Oklahoma Christian (2-5 and 8-12) and Cameron (6-7 and 2-7) this past weekend.

Eastern now holds a 15-22 overall record and an 11-19 conference record. As a team, the Greyhounds hold a .280 batting average with 202 runs scored and 183 RBIs.

Christina Meneses not only leads the Hounds offensively but is also one of the best batters in the conference being ranked fifth with a .430 batting average, ranked second in on-base percentage of .560, and sixth in slugging percentage of .774. Meneses is also fourth in the league in on-base+slugging percentage of 1.334.

Samantha Parisi follows with a .355 batting average with 28 runs and 38 hits, an on-base percentage of .452, and 44 total bases.

Seneca Aarstad is hitting .293 on the season with 17 RBIs, 29 total bases, and a .500 slugging percentage.

Emily Marsh and
Marissa Rodriguez also lead for the Greyhounds with Marsh batting a .290 and Rodriguez posting a .276 batting average.

Marissa Rodriguez leads in the circle with a 7-2 winning record, 4.32 ERA in 69.2 innings pitched and allowing 43 earned runs, 90 hits, while striking out 31 batters and holding opponents to a .310 batting average.

Miranda Guillen leads as well with a 5.87 ERA in 78.2 innings pitched and a 6-7 record. She has recorded 76 strikeouts and limited opponents to a .307 batting average.

Angelina Rubalcava holds a 2-6 record with a 7.18 ERA in 40.0 innings pitched and has allowed 57 hits, 41 earned runs, and has struck out 29 batters posting a .324 opponent batting average.

UT Dallas has most recently split with Midwestern State (1-6 and 3-0) this past Saturday. They hold an overall record of 12-24 and a conference record of 10-18. The Comets hold a team batting average of .318, a 5.04 ERA, and a .960 fielding percentage.

The Greyhounds faced the Comets for the first time ever this season in February of 2026 which resulted in a split for the two teams.
