PORTALES, N.M. – Eastern New Mexico softball heads out of town for a doubleheader against Texas A&M International on Friday, April 24, in Laredo, Texas at the Dustdevil Softball Field with the games set for 11:15 a.m. and 1:15 p.m. MT.

The Greyhounds split a pair of games against UT Dallas (13-1 in game one and 4-6 in game two) this past Sunday bringing their overall record to 16-23 and their conference record to 12-20.

Christina Meneses comes into the weekend as one of the top batters in the Lone Star Conference. Meneses ranks third in on-base percentage (.556), fourth in batting percentage (.430), and fourth in slugging percentage (.800).

Meneses also leads the Greyhounds in batting with 80 total bases and nine home runs through 39 games.

Samantha Parisi follows as an offensive leader with a .368 batting average going 42-for-114 with a .463 on-base percentage and 48 total bases.

Seneca Aarstad is also a leader hitting .293 on the season with 17 RBIs, 29 total bases, and a .500 slugging percentage.

Marissa Rodriguez is posting a .283 average with 11 RBIs and 29 total bases.
Emily Marsh is in the top batters as well hitting .283 with 22 RBIs and a .478 slugging percentage.

Marissa Rodriguez leads defensively for Eastern with an 8-2 winning record, a 4.11 ERA in 75.0 innings pitched, and she has allowed 92 hits and 44 earned runs while striking out 36 batters and holding opponents to a .299 batting average.

Miranda Guillen leads in the circle as well, posting a 6-8 record with a 6.04 ERA in 80.0 innings pitched. She's recorded 80 strikeouts and limited opponents to a .305 batting average.

Angelina Rubalcava holds a 2-6 record with a 6.64 ERA in 45.1 innings pitched and has allowed 63 hits and 43 earned runs while striking out 35 batters and posting a .320 opponent batting average.

The Dustdevils were most recently swept by Lubbock Christian (0-8 and 2-9) this past Sunday. They now hold an overall record of 12-33 and a conference record of 8-24. As a team, they hold a collective .314 batting average, a 5.28 ERA, and a .959 fielding percentage.

The Hounds have faced the Dustdevils 18 times since their first match up in 2011 in which the Greyhounds fell 7-10. The most recent game between the teams was in February of 2025 when Eastern took the win 11-1 in six innings.
