PORTALES, N.M. – Eastern New Mexico softball heads on the road for a busy week of games. With inclement weather in the forecast throughout the weekend, Eastern will now face No. 12 Oklahoma Christian in a doubleheader on Thursday, April 9, at 1 and 3 p.m. CT in Edmond, Oklahoma at Tom Heath Field. The Greyhounds will then play a doubleheader against Cameron University on Friday, April 10, at 4 and 6 p.m. CT in Lawton, Oklahoma at McMahon Field.
In the previous week, the Greyhounds split a pair of games with Texas Woman's (12-6 and 1-9) and were swept by UT Tyler (4-9 and 1-12).
Eastern holds a 15-18 overall record and an 11-15 conference record. As a team, the Hounds hold a .283 batting average, a .404 on-base percentage, 184 runs scored, 169 RBIs, and a hundred percent for stolen bases going 14-for-14.
Christina Meneses continues to lead the Greyhounds with a .427 batting average with 35 runs, 35 hits, seven home runs, and 31 RBIs.
Samantha Parisi follows closely hitting a .372 going 35 for 94 with a .459 on-base percentage and 41 total bases.
Seneca Aarstad has a .327 batting average with 17 RBIs, 29 total bases, and a .558 slugging percentage.
Marissa Rodriguez is hitting .302 with 11 RBIs and 28 total bases.
Emily Marsh has a .274 batting average with 15 RBIs and a .432 slugging percentage.
Marissa Rodriguez leads defensively as well holding a 7-1 record with a 4.13 ERA in 64.1 innings pitched, allowing 82 hits and 38 earned runs while striking out 30 batters and holding opponents to a .304 batting average.
Miranda Guillen follows with a 6-7 record and a 5.53 ERA in 74.2 innings, recording 75 strikeouts and limiting opponents to a .300 batting average.
Angelina Rubalcava is also a leader in the circle with a 2-4 record and a 6.74 ERA in 35.1 innings pitched. She has allowed 49 hits and 34 earned runs, while striking out 28 batters and posting a .318 opponent batting average.
Oklahoma Christian is coming off a win from sweeping Midwestern State (12-0 and 8-2) this past week, now holding an overall record of 31-8 and a conference record of 23-5. The Eagles hold a .317 team batting average, 5.19 ERA, and a .961 fielding percentage.
Cameron currently holds an overall record of 21-20 and a conference record of 13-15 after sweeping Lubbock Christian (4-2 and 6-4) this past Friday. As a team, the Aggies hold a .309 batting average, a 4.71 ERA, and a .950 fielding percentage.
