PORTALES, N.M. – The ENMU Greyhounds men's soccer team opens the 2016 campaign in Grand Junction, Colo., facing off against Colorado Mesa and Westminster (Utah). ENMU, which returns 11 letterwinners, is coming off a 6-8-2 campaign and looks to get off to a hot start against the Mavericks and Griffins.

Greyhounds Open Season in Grand Junction
• ENMU Head Coach 
Paul Tate (6-8-2), who begins his second-year at the helm of the soccer program, needs four victories to eclipse the 10-win plateau.

Ryan McManus enters his final season wearing the Green & White. The Scotish forward netted six goals, three assists and one game winner last season
• Senior 
Ryan Sinclair led the team with four assists last year and aims to set the table for the offense more often this season.
• Redshirt Junior 
James Gutierrez is back between the pipes for the 'Hounds after pitching a pair of shutouts last season. Defensively, the unit allowed under 2.00 goals/game. The Albuquerque, N.M., native made 84 saves in just under 1500 minutes of action.

• The 'Hounds have never taken on Colorado Mesa or Westminster in the 13 year history of the program.
• The Green and White return to Portales on Wednesday, Sept. 7 when it hosts Adams State at ENMU Soccer Field
• ENMU will host nine matches at the friendly confines of Al Whitehead Field at Greyhound Stadium and ENMU Soccer Field. Of the nine home contests, eight are against foes from the Heartland Conference.
