GAME NOTES
PORTALES, N.M. – The ENMU Greyhounds volleyball team plays its final non-conference road match on Tuesday at the Rip Griffin Center in Lubbock against the Lubbock Christian University Lady Chaps. ENMU is looking to bounce back from a 1-3 weekend at the Tarleton State Tournament in Stephenville.

ENMU Head Coach
Sia Poyer (38-62), in his fourth-year at the helm of the volleyball program, needs 12 victories to eclipse the 50-win plateau.
• The Greyhounds are 2-4 all-time against Lubbock Christian, having won the previous two meetings in five-sets. Eastern is 1-1 when playing in Lubbock agaisnt the Lady Chaps.

Lauren Frye enters her senior season with 1,287 career kills. Frye is currently ranked No. 3 on the all-time list and needs 408 kills to break Christabell Mariner's program record of 1,695. The Amissville, Va., native was a First Team All-Conference selection a year ago and picked up a tournament-high 73 kills at the WTAMU Lady Buff Classic and garnered an All-Tournament selection at the Tarleton State Tournament.
• Senior
Courtney Lawson aims to end her prolific career in the Green and White with a bang. Lawson was named one of three Academic Greyhounds of the year last year and has 28 double-doubles during her tenure at ENMU, including four this season. The senior from Rio Rancho, N.M. notched 39 kills and 45 digs last weekend.
• Junior
Alexis Aguirre and sophomore
Kaitlyn Kluna have shared time at setter this season, dishing out a combined 425 dimes in the four matches. Kluna (151 assists) was named to the All-Tournament team this past weekend at the Tarleton State Tournament.
• Junior libero
Andrea Aguilar has 154 digs this season after setting the ninth-highest mark in school history last year with 522. The colvis, N.M. native needs 28 to break 1,000 in her career with the Greyhounds. Aguilar was named to the All-Tournament team during opening weekend at the WTAMU Lady Buff Classic.
• Junior
Brooklyn Biel is coming off a pair of impressive tournament performances at the WTAMU Lady Buff Classic and the Tarleton State Tournament. Of the eight matches, Biel has gone above double-digits in all but one contest and posted 20 kills in the five-set win against Adams State. Additionally, the Albuquerque, N.M., native has hit .300 or better in five matches.
• Junior
Amanda Dietz picked up 23 kills and 17.0 blocks last weekend. The Albuquerque, N.M., native also hit above .300 in both matches on Sept. 9 against Colorado Christian and Central Oklahoma.
• The Green and White also have four newcomers for the coming campaign. Freshmen

Sarah Tuioti-Mariner and
Sadie Phimmasone all joined ENMU with expectations of excellence.
Schedule Breakdown
• ENMU is 2-2 in the ninth game of the season under head coach
Sia Poyer.
• The 'Hounds are 2-4 all-time against the Lady Chaps, having won the last two matches against Lubbock Christian.
• The Green and White open the season with tournaments the first two weekends of the season before hosting New Mexico Highlands at Greyhound Arena on Sept. 20.
• ENMU will host 10 matches at the friendly confines of Greyhound Arena. Of the 10 home contests, nine are against foes from the Lone Star Conference
'Hounds Chasing Records
• Senior
Lauren Frye is eyeing a number of records at ENMU. Currently she ranks in the top 10 in career kills (3rd), attack attempts (4th) and block assists (7th). Additionally, Frye has 67 matches in her career with at least 10 kills and 14 matches with over 20 kills. The Amissville, Va., native needs an even 400 kills to move into second place on the All-Time list.
• Senior
Courtney Lawson currently sits at seventh-place in her career for service aces with 109. Lawson needs 44 to match Jennifer Goble's all-time record.
Lone Star Conference Outlook
• The Greyhounds were picked to finish ninth in the Lone Star Conference, despite returning 13 letterwinners
• Tarleton State's Hailey Roberts was named Offensive Player of the Year, Texas Woman's Sara Oxford earned Defensive Player of the Year acclaim, and Texas A&M-Kingsville's Casey Klobedans was tabbed Setter of the Year.
• Angelo State was the narrow favorite to capture the Lone Star Conference title, according to the 2016 LSC volleyball preseason poll. The league's preseason polls reflect the opinions of LSC head coaches and sports information directors, plus various media representatives from throughout the region.

Scouting Lubbock Christian - Lubbock Christian enters the match at 4-5 after going 1-3 at the Tarleton State Tournament. The teams have faced off against three mutual opponents thus far through the season with both sides getting wins against Southwestern Oklahoma State while losing to Colorado Mesa and Central Oklahoma. Emily Hanaway leads the offensive effort for the Lady Chaps with 103 kills and 123.0 points.
