PORTALES, N.M. –The Eastern New Mexico University men's basketball team closes out the first half of the 2016-17 Lone Star Conference slate with a pair of games on the road at Texas A&M-Kingsville and Angelo State on Thursday and Saturday, respectively. Tipoff against the Javelinas is slated for 6:30 p.m. while the matchup with the Rams starts at 2 p.m.

ENMU and first year head coach
Tres Segler look to bounce back from back-to-back losses after winning three straight. The Greyhounds sit at 7-10 overall and 1-6 in LSC action.

Offensively, Eastern is led by its upper classmen guards,
Marquise Harris (15.3 PPG),
CoRnell Neal (15.0 PPG) and
Joe Clarke (11.0 PPG). Harris is coming off a stellar shooting performance against Midwestern, scoring 26 points in 40 minutes on 9-of-17 shooting, including going 7-of-12 from beyond the arc. Seniors
Chris Wyms and Neal both picked up six assists, in part of the team's season-high of 24 against Midwestern.

Defensively, the Green and Silver are led by junior
Chris Lewis, averaging 7.9 RPG while junior
Andre Hughes is pulling down 5.4 boards/game.
Chaunce Hill has thrown a block party all season long, tallying 13 stuffs in 17 games this year. Additionally, Neal has done it on the defensive end as well, picking up 30 steals in 14 games to lead the team.

Following the road trip, Eastern returns to the court on Thursday, Jan. 26, to take on rival West Texas A&M. Tipoff against the Buffs is slated for 7:30 p.m. in Greyhound Arena.
