PORTALES, N.M. –The Eastern New Mexico University men's basketball team hits the road for its final road swing of the regular season on Thursday and Saturday to take on Midwestern State and Cameron. The Greyhounds look to close the gap in the Lone Star Conference by knocking off the Mustangs and Aggies to earn a berth in the LSC Tournament. The Green and Silver currently sit at ninth in the league with a 10-14 mark overall and 4-10 record in LSC action.
 
Thursday's matchup with Midwestern State marks the first time Head Coach Tres Segler will make a return trip to Wichita Falls after serving as an assistant coach for the Mustangs for seven years. MSU edged the 'Hounds in overtime in the previous matchup this season in Portales. The last time ENMU beat Midwestern was Jan. 25, 2007 in Wichita Falls.
 
Saturday's contest with Cameron concludes Eastern's road slate for the 2016-17 season. The Greyhounds last won in Lawton on Feb. 12, 2014 in a 72-61 victory over the Aggies.
 
Junior guard Joe Clarke leads the team offensively, averaging 12.1 PPG. The New Rochelle, NY, native has netted at least 12 points in each of the last five games and has gone above 16 in four contests to go along with three 20+-point performances this season.
 
Junior Lamarquis Thompson has made the most of his opportunity since joining the Greyhounds at the semester break. The Houston, Texas, product has scored at least nine points in the last nine games, including six-straight double-digit point outburst. The guard has also pulled down 4.5 RPG this season.
 
Junior forward Chris Lewis has cleaned up the glass for the Green and Silver, grabbing 7.0 RPG while Andre Hughes and Arcaim Lallemand grab 4.6 and 3.9 RPG, respectively.
