PORTALES, N.M. – Eastern New Mexico softball continue its ten-game home stand with a pair of doubleheaders in LSC play. First, the Greyhounds will play Texas Woman's University on Friday, Apr. 8, with first pitch of game one set at 2 pm. Then, Eastern welcome Midwestern State University on Sunday, Apr. 10, with a start time of 12 pm for game one.
LAST TIME OUT
Eastern faced a tough set of games in their last weekend, falling twice to #22 Oklahoma Christian, 7-2 and 8-1, followed by two close defeats against Cameron University, 7-3 and 4-2.
SCOUTING THE HOUNDS
On the season, Eastern stand at 10-26 with a conference record of 3-17. ENMU hold a batting average of .219, scoring 121 runs with 183 hits. The Greyhounds have posted 103 RBIs with an on base percentage of .314. In the circle, Eastern New Mexico have a 6.04 ERA with 203 strikeouts.

Texas Woman's University
This season, Texas Woman's have a standing of 9-22 and 4-16 in LSC action. Recently, the Pioneers dropped four games to #17 Lubbock Christian and #14 Angelo State. TWU came close to beating the Chaparrals in its first game, but fell 3-2.
The Pioneers offense have a batting average of .235, scoring 104 runs on 179 hits. TWU have knocked in 93 RBIs, with 35 doubles, five triples, and nine RBIs. Defensively, Texas Woman's have an earned run average of 5.13 with 103 strikeouts and hold opposing hitters to a .343 average.
Nya Brown stands at the plate, with a team lead 27 hits on the season and a .273 batting average. Kristin Rodriguez holds the top BA for the Pioneers at .304, while Missy Wise is the team leader in RBIs with 13. Jules Malis and Kelsie Briggs each have four wins on the mound this season, with Malis holding a 5.69 ERA and Briggs sporting a 5.85 ERA.

Midwestern State University
The Mustangs enter the weekend with 6-29 record, and a 5-15 in LSC action. In its last four games, MSU dropped two games to #14 Angelo State and #17 Lubbock Christian. Two of the games were close, falling to ASU 4-2 and dropping a game against LCU 5-4. Midwestern State will play #22 West Texas A&M before coming to Portales.
Collectively, MSU have a .251 batting average with 223 hits and scoring 130 runs. The Mustangs post 120 RBIs and get on base at a rate of .323. The Midwestern pitching staff has an ERA of 6.63 with 138 strikeouts and an opposing batting average of .334.
Individually, Bailey Brenek has the top batting average for MSU (.392), with 38 hits. Ashley Turner leads the team with 42 hits, while Hanna Hetherington is the category leader for RBIs (26) and home runs (10). In the circle, Cameron Kennedy accounts for four wins this season, with an ERA of 5.05 and 10 complete games.
