Paige Graham and Arianna Hayde Set New School Records At Corky/Crofoot Shootout

LUBBOCK, TEXAS – Paige Graham and Arianna Hayde set new school records in the pole vault and triple jump, respectively, as part of Eastern New Mexico Track & Field's final tune up at the Corky/Crofoot Classic at Texas Tech this past weekend. Along with the new school records, several other Greyhounds set personal bests and season best marks.

Graham wrote themselves into the ENMU record books after posting a career best height of 3.37m (11' 0.75") the pole vault. Graham recorded their mark on their final attempt at the height, and broke the 11-foot mark for the first time in their career. Graham jumps ahead of the previous record of 3.35m (10' 11.75") set by Kayla Stephens in 2019.

Ar. Hayde had a pair of great performances in the long jump and triple jump. In the long jump, Ar. Hayde placed sixth with a jump of 5.70m (18' 8.5") and a sixth-place finish in the triple jump with a leap of 11.57m (37' 11.5"), setting a new school record. The mark in the triple jump beat out the pervious mark of 11.40m (37' 4.75") by Kris-Ann Walters in 2013.

Three Greyhounds set personal bests in the 1500, as Dorcas Kosgei led the group with a 3rd place finish with a time of 4:49.80. Marta Pascoa was just behind in 5th place, finishing the race in 4:53.65, and Lauren Griego clocked a time of 5:21.94 for a new career best time.

Aminata Kenyawani notched a season best time in the 5000 meters with a mark of 18:17.00. This was the fastest time during an outdoor season for Kenyawani, and placed 3rd at the meet. Malethabo Seema recorded a 5th place finish in the 800 meters, crossing the line in 2:14.60.

Alisha Hayde and Savannah Romero each posted personal bests in the 400-meter dash, with times of 1:00.37 and 1:04.04, respectively. Devis Cheruiyot and Dan Hurren turned in solid times in the men's 800 meters, with Cheruiyot posting a personal best time of 1:56.80 and finishing 11th, while Hurren crossed the line in 15th place with a mark of 2:00.71.
