PUEBLO, Colo. –
Timothy Frederick completed his 2023 outdoor season at the NCAA DII outdoor track and field championships Thursday evening.
"I want to thank everyone for their support," said Frederick after the race. "It's a great opportunity and I am so motivated to be moving onto the next competition."
The junior from La Brea, Trinidad and Tobago finished the 400m race in 47.82s. His time was the fifth fastest among six from Lone Star Conference institutions.
"I think he had a solid year adding a new event to the list of events he is capable of competing in at a national level," said head coach
Joshua Harden when asked about Harden after the competition. "It's a learning experience. We've taken a lot of bumps and up and downs, but he has handled it very well and worked very hard. It is only going to get better."
Frederick completes the athletic year with several conference, regional, and national honors from his performance in both indoor and outdoor events. He was also recognized as the men's Greatest Greyhound last month at the Greyhound Club Banquet.
