Hall of Honors
Bob Gilbreath was a four-year starter for the Hounds and made the Lone Star Conference All-Decade Team in the 1980’s as a kicker. After a prolific career at Eastern, he still holds the team records for single-season (16, 1987) and career (50) field goals. A highly decorated performer, Gilbreath garnered four selections to the Academic All-Conference Team and two First Team LSC selections as both a punter and place kicker. In 1987 and 1989, he earned Honorable Mention All American Honors as a place kicker. From 1986-89, the Greyhounds posted a 26-16 record with Gilbreath, posting a 21-17 victory in the Wagon Wheel Game in the second-to-last game of his career. Since 1991, he has served as a football, basketball, baseball and golf coach at four different high schools, all with championship results.
