Dr. Kathleen Salter has unselfishly devoted her free time season after season as an official scorekeeper for ENMU’s basketball games. She served in that capacity for the first-ever women’s basketball game at Eastern in 1974. Over that span, there was only a period of two years in which she was paid, with the rest coming as a volunteer. Salter rarely missed a game in Greyhound Arena, unless completely necessary. ENMU hired Dr. Salter in 1972 as a full-time professor.
