Hall of Honors
Rex Maddaford was one of ENMU’s top performers in track & field and cross country during the NAIA era. A multi-time All-American in both sports, he won the national title in the two-mile run in 1971. Maddaford was subsequently named as the NAIA’s top athlete. From 1969-71 he won five national championships in cross country and track & field. One of his top accomplishments was defeating Jim Ryan in a two-mile race.
