Greg Hyder is the most prolific scorer and rebounder in the history of ENMU men’s basketball. While there are 20 players that have reached the 1,000 point mark for the Hounds Hyder is the only to reach 2,000 and closed his career with 2,278 points. In a career which stretched from 1966-70, he was a key component of the Hounds’ National Championship team in 1968-69. He had 1,445 rebounds of his career which included a team-record 30 against Fort Lewis. Hyder was drafted by the Cincinnati Royals in 1970.
