Over 20 seasons, no name became more synonymous with Greyhound baseball than that of Head Coach Phil Clabaugh. When Clabaugh arrived at ENMU in 1992, he joined the original quartet of LSC baseball coaches: Bill Gillbreath (Abilene Christian), Ron Ihler (Cameron) and Wendell Simmons (Central Oklahoma). While at ENMU, Clabaugh won 202 LSC games and earned his 500th win as a head coach on March 20, 2009 against Angelo State, on a walk-off hit from his son, Seth. Over the course of that season, his team won 12 games in their final at bat, on the way to the program's first appearance in the LSC Championships.
