Wayne Bailey was a two-time NAIA and AFCA Small College All-American in football for Eastern in 1957 and 1958. He was a starting offensive guard and defensive linebacker for the undefeated 1957 team. Bailey retired as a teacher in the business department of Chaparral High School in Scottsdale, Ariz., in 1996. He taught and coached in public schools in New Mexico and Arizona for 37 years.
