Mike Slinker served as the sports information director, doing an outstanding job at keeping statistical records and producing media guides to keep an up-to-date record of ENMU athletics history.

•  Started the effort to have film photographs taken & developed during basketball games, allowing pictures to be sent overnight and printed in the Albuquerque Journal the next day
•  Organized community efforts to make Bob Kirkley the only NAIA selection to the Pizza Hut Basketball Classic
•    Remodeled press box accommodations at Greyhound Stadium and Greyhound Arena
•  Upgraded the format for football media days, doubling the media attendance at the functions
