Stuart Ingle had been a lifelong resident of Roosevelt County and a strong supporter of Eastern New Mexico University. At the time of induction he was in his third term as a New Mexico State Senator and was directly responsible for the passage of millions of dollars in capital outlay projects on the ENMU campus. The projects included renovations to the Liberal Arts and Technology buildings, University Computer Center, University Theater Center, Greyhound Arena and improvements to Roosevelt Hall.
